About Us
|
At PTS the impact is great. For mothers who complete the six-month program, we see lower relapse rates, better coping skills, and stronger families. Clients who received 30 days or more of treatment delivered significantly healthier newborns. As many as 85 percent of our clients who have had their children removed from their care have been reunited with their children as a result of entering our program. "Thanks to all of you for an awesome program. I know in my heart PTS saved my life", said a resident as she left PTS to go to transitional housing. These are the factors that Perinatal Treatment Services employs to help chemically dependent pregnant and parenting women stay clean, learn better parenting skills, and get their lives back on track. Treatment A recent resident stated upon program completion "PTS has given me and my children a chance at a better life." Women with chemical dependency, pregnant and/or parenting a child under age six, and at or below 200% of the Federal poverty level may be eligible for our programs. While both our Seattle and Tacoma facilities offer programs for women 18 and older, our Tacoma site features an adolescent residential treatment program for young women Ages 12-17. The sixty day program is designed specially for a teenage population dealing with substance abuse. Tacoma Public Schools provides off-site education to this program.
