Residential Program
Perinatal Treatment Services (PTS) is located in Seattle and Tacoma. PTS offers a 6-month residential chemical dependency treatment program for pregnant women and mothers of children under the age of six with a focus of keeping mothers with their children during recovery.
Seattle: 30 long-term residential beds, 21 child care spaces Tacoma: 16 long-term residential beds and 16 child care spaces – Young women ages 16 & 17 who are pregnant and/or parenting will also be considered for this program.
Women’s Services include chemical dependency and relapse prevention treatment, domestic violence/sexual abuse counseling, case management, nursing assessments and follow-up services for medical, dental and mental health needs, parenting education and 24 hour parenting support, life skills training, referrals for GED completion and aftercare referrals. Therapeutic Child-Care Services include increased staff to child ratios, developmental screening, case management, mental health services, a Family Service Plan for each mother and child and necessary referrals to community service providers for all special needs children.
Only women who have children with them in treatment are charged rent for the children’s room and board. Rent is $275.00 per month for one child, $60.00 per month for each additional child. Food will be paid for monthly with the client’s food stamp benefits.
PTS is a non-smoking facility. Patients are provided with non-smoking support information and referrals to their primary health care providers for medication management when indicated and appropriate.
Eligibility
All women must: • be income-eligible for DSHS benefits • be pregnant OR • be parenting a child under the age of six OR • be attempting to reunite with a child under the age of six
